A.J. Rohe is an attorney who has been practicing law in Lake County since 1997. He began working with James F. Keedy and the firm later became Keedy & Rohe, P.A. In late 2002, A.J. started his own firm. The firm has grown from one person practicing exclusively family law to a 14-person operation at three separate offices. All of the attorneys in the firm handle family-law matters, but each also practices in other areas.

A.J. graduated from Umatilla High School in 1988 and from the University of Florida in 1993. He graduated from the University of Florida College of Law in 1996 with honors. In addition to being a member of the Lake County Bar Association and Florida Bar Association, he is also active with the Lake and Sumter County Inns of Court and has, for several years, served on committees for the Family Law Section of the Florida Bar. A large portion of Mr. Rohe’s service on the Support Issues Committee for the past several years has been in analyzing Florida case law involving alimony or legislation in other States involving alimony, and model alimony guidelines in an effort to create a proposal for legislation creating alimony guidelines. A.J. has taught civil procedure at the college level and has volunteered for multiple years as a teen court judge. He also has multiple years on state committees dealing with proposed legislation affecting child support and division of assets and debts. Mr. Rohe is also presently Co-chairman of the local Grievance Committee for the Florida Bar. He has argued before the Appellate Court and was admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States of America in 2009.

A.J. is proud to be associated with the Elks, an organization that provided him with surgery and recovery services when he became crippled as a child. He went on to run track and play football. He joined the Eustis Elks Lodge as soon as he returned to Lake County and served as Exhalted Ruler in 2000 and 2001. A.J. is also proud to be an officer at the Tavares Masonic Lodge and to serve on the 4-H Foundation Committee as a charter member.

A.J., his wife Tiffany, his son Justin, and her daughter Macey live in Howey in the Hills. A.J. also enjoys boating, motorcycles, offroad activities, and the study of history and military tactics.

Thomas Holden

Thomas Holden is an attorney who helps clients involved in family-law litigation cases. Mr. Holden handles all aspects of family law cases from consultation to conclusion.

Prior to his employment at Rohe Law, Mr. Holden was the supervising attorney for the Department of Children and Families, where he was responsible for the legal department in Lake County.

Mr. Holden has been a practicing attorney since 1982. During his years of practice, Mr. Holden has handled a variety of cases, including but not limited to: personal injury, criminal, bankruptcy, real estate and many other civil litigation areas. At this time, Mr. Holden solely focuses on handling dissolution of marriage, dependency, domestic violence, paternity and other child-related cases.

Mr. Holden is married and resides in Lake County. He and his Wife, Katrina, enjoy spending time with their black lab, Shelby.

Kristopher A. Vanderlaan

Born in Panama City, Florida on August 21, 1976, Kristopher received a B.A. from the University of Florida with honors in 1999, with a Major in Criminology and a Major in Political Science. He then received a J.D. from the University of Florida College of Law, with Honors, in 2002. In 2002 he was also admitted to the Florida Bar and currently practices in the areas of Domestic Litigation, Commercial Litigation, Business Litigation, Real Estate Litigation, General Civil Litigation and Criminal defense. Kristopher is now a member of the American, Florida, Lake County, and Marion County Bar Associations and the Lake County Family Law Section.

Ashley Hunt

Ashley Hunt’s practice areas include family law, civil litigation, estate planning, probate administration, trust administration, business planning, contracts, corporate work, tax planning and real estate.

Mr. Hunt is a Lake County native and is a graduate of Leesburg High School. Ashley attended the University of Cincinnatti where he played football and earned a Bachelor’s degree in finance. He later received his Juris Doctor with high honors from Nova Southeastern University. After graduating law school, Mr. Hunt obtained an L.L.M in taxation from the University of Florida. He was admitted to the Florida Bar on September 17, 2004.

Ashley is a member of the Real Property Probate and Trust Law Section and Tax Section of the Florida Bar. He is also a member of the Young Lawyers Division of Lake County and a member of the Lake County Bar Association.

Mr. Hunt and his wife, Mary Ann, have two young children, Brady and Ashton.

Paul Darby

Paul Darby graduated from the University of Florida Levin College of Law in May of 2009 and passed the Florida Bar Examination in July of that same year. While at UF Law he earned an “Outstanding Achievement” Pro Bono Certificate for working over 110 hours in the community assisting those in need of legal services. He has also been certified by the Florida Supreme Court as a County Court Mediator.

Paul earned his undergraduate education at the University of Central Florida in Orlando, where he was awarded a Bachelor of Arts degree in history, summa cum laude, with a minor in German language. He was also awarded a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science, summa cum laude, with a minor in European studies.

Paul is originally from southern Brevard County and recently moved to Clermont with his wife Kelly. They both enjoy UCF football as well as spending time with their black Labrador retriever, Pepper.
